What are Individualized Training Paths
Capodarco Formazione has been organizing the so-called for a long time PFI, an acronym that stands for Individualized Training Paths.
These are courses dedicated to young people with disabilities aged between 18 and 29 which aim to transfer professional skills. In other words, you want to teach them a profession, for later approach to the world of work, so as to improve self-determination and one's capacity for personal satisfaction.
THE Individualized training courses I always start from a common path, to then be customized to the student's needs and aspirations in 5 different areas of expertise:
- IT-office work
- Catering
- Commerce, Services and Large-scale distribution
- Agriculture-Gardening
- Craftsmanship
Our PFIs are completely free, as we are a training body accredited by the Lazio Region.
The importance of the internship during the PFI
All the paths undertaken include an internship in a work environment.
This is a fundamental step in the experience, because it allows the student to deal with the real world of work, build new relationships, therefore learn to manage the assigned tasks and understand their own responsibilities.

The 4 phases of PFIs
All PFIs are divided into 4 different phases, each with its function:
The PFI is divided into 4 phases:
- 1st phase: welcome, knowledge, initial orientation to professions
- 2nd phase: acquisition of basic general, working and communication skills, transferable to different tasks and contexts, i.e. transversal
- 3rd phase: acquisition and deepening of specific professional skills (internship)
- 4th phase: consolidation of professional skills and abilities, conscious confirmation and validation of one's self-awareness and know-how (restitution), certification and outgoing accompaniment.
The curricular training internship represents the central moment of the entire path, essential for offering opportunities for individual experimentation in the world of work.
PFI enrollment period
Pre-enrolment requests for PFIs for the following academic year they are harvested from January to July of the current year.
Example: if I have to enroll my child for the 2023/2024 academic year, it will be possible to submit an application from January 2023 to July 2023.
