On September 6th, a significant meeting took place in the Grottaferrata City Council Chamber in preparation for the year in which the city will become the Capital of Costruiamo Gentilezza 2025.
Mayor Mirko Di Bernardo and the delegate for kindness, as well as ambassador of Costruiamo Gentilezza, Federica Cattani, welcomed the ambassadors Anna Vitiello and Arcangela De Vivo (national vice president of Costruiamo Gentilezza), representatives of the 2024 Capitals: Torre Annunziata (NA) and San Severo (FG).
A further step forward
During the meeting, new participation agreements were signed with associations, companies and educational institutions of Grottaferrata, including Capodarco Formazione Impresa Sociale, as evidence of the shared desire to support the principles of Costruiamo Gentilezza.
The official handover will take place on December 14, 2024, when Grottaferrata will take on the title of Capital of Costruiamo Gentilezza for 2025.
The event was accompanied by several public initiatives:
- the Municipality of Grottaferrata was illuminated in Purple, the symbolic color of this national project, in homage to the visit of the representatives of Costruiamo Gentilezza.
- Social Agriculture Capodarco hosted the dinner of kindness.
- Anna Vitiello, together with the other Ambassadors of Kindness, have begun the composition of the first kind mural of Grottaferrata, which will then be finished by Elettra Casali, citizen delegate for Creative Thinking. The theme will be the embrace.
The Practice of Kindness as a Social Tool
It will be a year full of events and initiatives, in schools, in squares, on the territory and everywhere, with the involvement of the community, explains Federica Cattani, city delegate for Kindness, we will be able to bring this small but great purple revolution, with a common horizon: the practice of kindness as a social tool to overcome disparities and promote a better future in which humanity is the first value and the declination of our every day of life.
