Grottaferrata has become the Capital of Kindness 2025

A special weekend, that of December 14th and 15th, who saw Grottaferrata awarded as Capital of Kindness 2025. This title represents a recognition of the central role that kindness plays as a founding value of the community, promoting social cohesion and collective growth.

Federica Cattani, ambassador of Costruiamo Gentilezza, will be the contact person for the national project for the Capital of Kindness 2025. Her activity will contribute to carrying forward initiatives that focus on the values of inclusiveness, respect and social cohesion, consolidating the role of Grottaferrata as a virtuous example for the entire nation.

Symbolic events and cultural activities

The weekend was full of symbolic events and cultural activities that involved young people and adults, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of a culture of kindness. Among the most significant moments, the award ceremony of the National Poetry Competition “The City of Embrace”, hosted at the Cinema Comunale Alfellini. This competition celebrated creativity and civic engagement, with the participation of an exceptional jury composed of the ambassadors of Costruiamo Gentilezza: Luca Nardi, Anna Vitiello and Arcangela De Vivo. During the ceremony, the students of the CFP of Grottaferrata “Capodarco Training Group” they received the Special Pro Loco Award, a recognition of their commitment and creativity.

CinemaperTutti: inclusion and accessibility

Another event of great impact was the CinemaforAll, also at the Cinema Comunale Alfellini. This inclusive screening, organized with low lights and adaptive modes, was designed to make the cinema experience accessible to children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodiversities. Initiatives like this represent a concrete step towards breaking down social barriers and promoting a truly inclusive culture, where no one is left behind. 🎥
