Why support us?
At least three reasons, full of meaning
Capodarco Formazione: 50 years of inclusion and social growth
Capodarco Training was born in the footsteps of the Capodarco Community, founded in Christmas 1966 in Capodarco di Fermo by Don Franco Monterubbianesi, with the aim of overcoming the isolation of people with disabilities and offering them dignity, autonomy and social integration.
In 1972, a group of the community moved to Rome to expand social inclusion in the suburbs.
Two years later, in 1974, the Vocational Training Center (CFP) Capodarco, which introduces innovative training and rehabilitation courses for people with disabilities, supported by the European Economic Community. The first courses concern ceramics, electronics and horticulture, with an educational approach based on the valorization of individual skills and integration into the world of work.
Over time, Capodarco Formazione has expanded its offering with internships, orientation and job placement programs for young people with disabilities and at risk of dropping out of school. Its innovative training model contributed to the introduction of Law 68/99 on the targeted placement of people with disabilities.
Today, Capodarco Formazione operates in various locations in Rome and Grottaferrata, collaborating with European bodies and local institutions to ensure training, employment and social inclusion, keeping alive its original mission of building a more just and inclusive society.
Young people with disabilities and Capodarco activities
THE young people with disabilities who come into contact with Capodarco Formazione often come from contexts in which the opportunities for personal, educational and professional growth are limited. Capodarco offers them a welcoming and stimulating environment, where they can develop autonomy, skills and dignity, overcoming the barriers that society often imposes.
Activities dedicated to them include:
- Personalized educational and training paths, to promote learning and school inclusion.
- Group activities and social inclusion – Workshops, educational and volunteer activities to create a positive environment, stimulate socialization and strengthen the sense of belonging.
- Psychological support and educational tutoring, to accompany young people on a path of growth and autonomy.
Who are the children with difficult family situations at risk of dropping out of school?
The boys who live in difficult family situations they are young people who face contexts of social, economic or emotional fragility. They often come from families with economic difficulties, absent parents or with addiction problems, family conflicts, neglect or situations of abuse.
These factors expose them to emotional distress, lack of educational support and poor school motivation, increasing the risk of school dropout, or premature abandonment of studies.
Many of them are in conditions of isolation, insecurity or low self-esteem, which lead them to lose interest in school and to perceive it as a place far from their needs and aspirations. The risk is that, without adequate intervention, they abandon the educational path without qualifications or skills for the future.
Capodarco's training activities to combat school dropout
Capodarco Training has developed specific programs to help these young people to find motivation and confidence in your abilities, through innovative educational and training paths. The main objective is to recover them, insert them into a structured learning path and provide them with a professional qualification., ensuring them better opportunities for the future.
Capodarco aims to recover children at risk of dropping out, by placing them in training courses aimed at obtaining a professional qualification.
This allows them to complete their studies successfully. and build their own future with greater security and autonomy, preventing the risk of social and work exclusion.
